Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Socacize is the sole owner of information collected on the Website and on registration forms and will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this Privacy Policy, without first obtaining your consent. From time-to-time our Website may request information from users via surveys. Participation in these surveys, to the extent we run any, is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. According to the Canada’s Anti-Spam Law (“CASL”), it is prohibited to send or cause or permit to be sent to an electronic address a commercial electronic message unless the person to whom the message is sent has consented to receiving it, whether the consent is express or implied. Consent is considered implied if there is an existing business relationship or a non-business relationship, in compliance with the terms provided by this law.

Opting Out of Communications

Socacize may occasionally contact you to notify you about updates to the Website or new products or services offered by Socacize, to deliver targeted information that may be of interest to you, and to inform you of special sales or events offered by Socacize. Socacize products or service users can always “opt-out” of receiving communications from Socacize by sending us an email or clicking the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of every email.
